Orphanage Homes sports festival Nigeria (OHSFN) 2019
Plans are underway for the
hosting of the 4th Edition of sports festival for
Orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Nigeria
tagged "Orphanage Homes sports festival Nigeria (OHSFN)
2019", a national grassroot sports activity for all
OVC across the federation.
Barr. Mrs Ugonna Nnanna Uzor Kalu organiser of the festival and founder Challenged Children Charity Foundation (3cf) has the good Intention of Empowering the less privileged children through sports, this event will give orphans,vulnerable children, in Nigeria sense of pride,dignity,and hope for a brighter future,just like the celebrities we have today who hail from a foster home e.g Heavy weight boxer, Micheal Tyson, Veteran broadcaster,Oprah Winfrey etc..
In collaboration with St. Johns tennis academy, we will feature 5 sporting activities
Football, Atheletes, Basketball, Volleyball and Table tennies that would be competed for at the festival tagged.
Mr Tom Nnakwe, a member of the group mention that 3cf was collaborating with National Sport Commission, FCT sport council, Ministry of Women Affairs and other various sport federation to actualize their dream.
Mrs Oby Egwu our representative in United State of America and founder St Johns tennis academy is working hard to see the laudable event will be a success.
We are soliciting for funds from organization and philanthropists to make the sports festival eventful.
MISS HUMANITY NIGERIA (MHN)
Miss Humanity Nigeria (MHN) is a gender friendly
beauty pageant organized for females from the age of
17-30, the maiden edition will be taking place
November 2018 and the second Edition wil take place
November 2019. It is an empowerment program
geared at improving the poise, charisma and
confident of our growing youngladies. Also gives
them a platform/ exposure to excel in their various
GIRL CHILD EDUCATION.
Training (especially in the aspect of formal education) nurtures, prepares, directs and matures them to unleash their potentials to humanity in service and live a fulfilled life; Education at basic and post primary school is a fundamental right of every child in Nigeria as it unveils their great potentials, an essential for the exercise of all other human rights. It promotes individual freedom, empowerment and yields important development benefits. Education inculcates in the individual, knowledge, skills, character and desirable values that will foster national development and self-actualization (Asiegbu, Okorji & Bosah, 2014). According to Agbakwuru (2002) education equips one with marketable skills thereby lifting the possessor up from the poverty arena.
3CF objective is to help in empowering the Girl Child through the basic formal education and informal education like skill acquisition.
